New Bridge to Connect Samarkand City Center with 'Shirin' District
The project is estimated at 310 billion soums and designed to accommodate up to 25,000 vehicles per day.

In the Samarkand region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the construction of a bridge over the Karadarya River. Upon completion, it will connect the developing 'Shirin' district with Samarkand and the international airport.
The launch of the facility will shorten the route from the district to the city center: the distance will decrease from 23 to 4 kilometers, and travel time will be reduced by 30 minutes.
