Saidov and Rubio View Exhibition on Shared History of Uzbekistan and the USA
The exhibition included historical materials, including information about the sister-city relationship between Tashkent and Seattle, established in 1973.
The exhibition was attended by Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, and Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State. It was held concurrently with the "C5+1" ministerial-level meeting.
The exhibition showcased the scientific and cultural convergence of the two nations. Among its materials were the scientific legacy of Ahmad al-Ferghani, a poetry collection by Edgar Allan Poe about Amir Timur, and works by American travelers on Uzbekistan.
The organizers believe that referencing shared historical heritage and promoting it can strengthen mutual understanding and open new opportunities for cooperation in science and culture.
