Kane surpasses Messi, Mbappé and Yamal to win the 2026 Ballon d'Or
A ceremony is taking place in London; at the end of the 2025/26 season, Harry Kane was awarded the prize as the best forward.
For the first time in his career, Harry Kane, the 33-year-old forward of Bayern Munich and the England national team, has been named the best footballer of the year.
With his club, he won the German championship, the German Cup, and the German Super Cup, while with the national team, he secured bronze at the 2026 World Cup. In the tournament, Kane scored six goals in seven matches. Over the season, his tally reached 61 goals for Bayern and 12 for the national team.
The top ten nominees included Ousmane Dembélé, Erling Haaland, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, Michael Olise, Rodri, and Fabián Ruiz.
