Uzbekistan to Offer Tax Incentives to Businesses for Training Specialists
Entrepreneurs will be able to manage technical colleges, receive tax deductions for workforce training, and obtain grants for employing graduates abroad. The new measures aim to develop vocational education and export labor resources.

During a meeting on labor migration issues, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed more actively involving businesses in training qualified specialists. Large entrepreneurs are planned to be entrusted with managing two to three technical colleges in each region for a period of 15 years. They aim to train at least 30,000 people annually.
Entrepreneurs will be allowed to account for expenses on training and equipment procurement when paying taxes. Grants will also be provided for graduates who find employment abroad.
Separate support measures will affect private employment agencies. Starting next year, they are planned to be entrusted with employing citizens abroad. For each person placed in a high-paying job, agencies will receive 1,500,000 Uzbekistani soms. Their activities will be evaluated based on employment results, compliance with workers' rights, and employment conditions.
The draft document for implementing the new measures has been instructed to be prepared within a month.
