Italian Director Tinto Brass Passes Away
Tinto Brass passed away in the early hours of November 4 in Rome at the age of 93. His wife and daughter announced his death. According to his family, he died peacefully surrounded by loved ones.

The director's death is attributed to the consequences of a stroke he suffered in the spring of 2010. At that time, Brass was hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage and underwent a lengthy recovery. He never fully regained his health. After the illness, he almost stopped filming, as he lacked the strength for new projects.
In the spring of 2026, the director's health sharply deteriorated again: doctors diagnosed him with sepsis. Due to this, Brass missed the Venice Film Festival, which took place in September.
Several days ago, he was hospitalized, but doctors were unable to save him. The director died without regaining consciousness.
Brass became one of the most recognizable auteurs of erotic cinema. He gained worldwide fame with films such as *Caligula*, *The Key*, *Miranda*, and *The Voyeur*. Biographers consider him one of the most prominent figures in the erotic genre of 20th-century cinema.
