Switzerland Lifts Sanctions on Usmanov and Fridman
The changes were published by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and took effect on November 4.

According to Forbes, Usmanov's fortune amounts to $14.5 billion, while Fridman's is $16.5 billion.
Restrictions were also lifted on former rector of the Crimean Federal University Andrei Falaleev and the company Redbird Corporate Services Ltd. Three other individuals were removed from the list due to their deaths. Meanwhile, Switzerland added 254 new individuals and organizations linked to Russia's defense industry, banks, energy, and logistics to the sanctions list.
In September, the EU extended personal sanctions until 2029 but did not include Usmanov and Fridman in the list. According to Reuters, France and Slovakia advocated for Usmanov's removal, while Luxembourg supported Fridman's exclusion.
