Tashkent Plans to Open 29 More Metro Stations by 2030
By 2030, the number of stations in the Tashkent Metro is planned to increase from 50 to 79.

To achieve this, the capital will construct 29 more stations and 32 km of lines, stated Yuldash Yusupov, Deputy Chairman of the Metro Board, at a press conference.
Currently, the network spans 71 km, and after expansion, it is expected to reach 103 km. Over the past seven years, the capital has already opened 21 stations and laid 33 km of tracks.
Simultaneously, authorities aim to increase the daily passenger flow from the current 1.2 million to 1.8 million people and reduce train intervals to 2–3 minutes. In 2027, it is planned to purchase 14 five-carriage trains. The network expansion and train upgrades are intended to help the metro cope with growing demand.
